MPH technology. When it doesn't sound familiar to you, don't worry. This abbreviation is the newest forthcoming invention of Asian mobile communication leader LG Electronics. It stands for mobile-portable-handheld and means mediation of TV transmission to cell-phones. Is it actually needed and how does the entire thing look like? LG representatives claim the people and potential customers are always more on the move and as a result the TV broadcasters are slowly becoming forgotten agents of information. The public is exposed to variety of means offering messages or news and television faces difficulty to reach such prompt and still developing providers. The mentioned technology is based on the digital broadcasting as the TV stations need to buy only particular add-on devices to make their programs accessible. Users, on the other side, are required to get and install a reception chip to be able to receive transmission. LG has been co-operating with Harris Corp., the maker of TV transmitters, to enhance the on-coming technology. Its main aim is to create inexpensive device, distribute it to as many countries as possible and make it common among young dynamic people, later preferably among the general public. The words of LG's chief technology officer, Woo Paik, that "broadcasters always wanted to be able to service a mobile audience and that's what MPH is providing," signalize a positive and interesting situation for many interest groups. Advantages for students, managers or other young employees and businessmen far overweight the possible expenses for the device. Brands with effort to advertise their products as effectively as possible like the idea definitely, too. Although, it's uncertain somebody would like to watch commercials while traveling or doing something similar. The age of pictures is back! We like watching them constantly, even in such industrialized period.
