Thinking about buying an LCD?
by Lucia Mitrova
Are you about to buy a TV? Forget about the old ugly boxes that rock stars during the 80's era of terrible hair metal used to throw out the window. Nowdays it is all about LCD. Or being a more precise should we say Liquid crystal display TV. The panel is flat and pretty, visual output is better and sharper.LCD is kind of a relative with computer monitor. It is based and works thanks to polarized light. That is probably the reason why the first LCD television had its disadvantages, for instance the fact that you had to look at them from the certain angle or the best was to sit right opposite the TV. Otherwise you would get much of your movie or TV show experience. But this problem belongs to the past now, so there is nothing in the way of growing popularity of the LCD monitors. But not only LCD monitors people's favorites right now. It's the plasma displays too. They are the ones that are keeping the competition fresh and still running. The LCD monitors have the advantage that they can be used for the both, the television market and the computer market. And they somewhat ecological too, thanks to their relatively low electrical power consumption. Another advantage that LCD has is that the weight is lower comparing to plasmas.Prices are not that bad too and experts say they even are falling down. For example Vizio just announced its Black Friday action that will be held on November 23. This means exclusively low prices, but only for this Friday.
