Pioneer improved the contrast of plasma displays Daniela Simkova

Pioneer comes to the manufacture with new, improved plasma displays. Pioneer Corp. said that they would show the prototype of the plasma display at International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which starts on Monday. All the TV manufacturers are switching to the LCD televisions as Pioneer stays with the plasma flat panels televisions. Pioneer want to introduce a new improved plasma flat panel television that emits no black light in the black parts of the image, which improves the quality of the picture as well as it's contrast. No television, LCD or plasma, on the market can display a perfect black while it's on. The cells of a plasma need permanent basic overlay to be active, which makes them faint away. The LCD TV's have a blacklight which the crystal layer can't block completely and though it causes that light penetrates even through the darkest parts of image. Pioneer plasma flat panel television set has though infinite contrast ratio, is only 9 millimeters thick, and can be assumed as the only 50 inch television set ever manufactured. Russ Johnston, an executive at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. said: "There's so much noise getting around about all these technologies, we thought it was important to show what (plasma) displays can do today." "It's close, but not that close," he expressed that perfect black technology and the thin display won't be able for the market in 2008.
