The cell phone need
Are you addicted to the cell phone? Don’t worry; you’re not the only one. I wonder if there will be an association to cure us from this disease. It is spread worldwide and according to the survey taken by Nortel Networks Corp. the number is continually growing. Let us see how the survey distributed the cell phones addicted, those who would leave their wallet, keys, laptop or digital music player at home in exchange for the mobile phone. If you use seven devices and nine applications for work or personal business, then you are a hyperconnected. If you have four devices and six applications then you are an increasingly connected. There is still no name for those with only 3 devices or 2; that is probably because Nortel likes the saying: “the more, the merrier”. At least for the multinational telecommunications equipment manufacturer it is a good thing as the demand for network technologies will increase too and their profit will go ballistic. China seems to have the most hyperconnected people- surely the fact that they are as many as two countries has nothing to do about it. Surprisingly, the United Arab Emirates who is famous for its riches has the fewest. Canada is not far away from UAE, according to the answers of 2,367 people from 17 countries that were interviewed. The number is forecasted to increase 40 percent in the next five years, so don’t feel single anymore, we are here for you. Intriguing is why Nortel doesn’t occupy its time with more productive things than our addictions. Its business is troublesome and it should be interested on how to fix it, rather than make a big fuss over such minor details. It is true that tests regarding consumers are important, but is that their main concern?
