Chris Cantell Discusses Technologies: Sirius XM Radio Finally Approved!
by Milota Sidorova

It seems that a long time expected merger of two major rivaling Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio has finally come to an end, despite of announced reunion almost 17 months ago.

However, executives on both parts declare, the cooperation and the rise of new Sirius XM Radio will favor its subscribers and make its product more available, compared to prices, this was clearly the step against lobbyists operating in land based radio industry, depicted consumer groups and even members of Congress.

They pressured Federal Communications Commission to punish both of the companies for rule violations before acting on merger. The other black bug has been signal dark zone over United States' outlying states and territories, despite of the main strategy of the company. 100 percent commercial free radio of every genre and focus broadcasting everywhere with crystal clear cover.

The commission has imposed $19,7 million penalty for both of the companies and made Sirius representatives to promise to cover all zero sign areas within 3 months.

Congressmen feel worried of merging two major satellite radios, so they will create rival less monopoly. In fact, the availability, advantages and popularity of Sirius will endanger land, digital even Internet radios such as portable devices without any comment.

Both of the companies have also promised to keep 8 percent aside of full time audio channels for public interest and minority programing.
However, today if you want to hear one of the channels from both of the radios, you necessarily need two radio devices. From now on, this has come to past and more than 130 channels provided by Sirius Satellite Radio and 156 of XM Satellite Radio will be available on the very same device.

Companies have offered variety of different channels subscriptions with price reducing effect or free to choose 'a la carte' program, when subscriber pays only for required channels.
The ordinary prescription costs $12.95 a month plus $6.99 extra if TV broadcast included, while $499 for lifetime subscription.
The new radio will use the same devices as before, so car radios, home entertainment systems and portable devices.
