Chris Cantell Discusses Technologies: New Nissan technology deters drivers from danger
by Radka Konkolova

A man is very lazy but on the other hand also very inventive creature. For ages he has been trying to make his life easier and therefore he has invented many very useful things we can't imagine the life without them. So thanks his sluggishness we don't have to use candles to light up the room or walk on our feet when wanting to come over longer distances. Now we can use various vehicles as bikes, motorcycles, cars, buses, trams or even planes to get our "destination".

Let's consider a car itself. In the past people were very happy when they got the possibility and opportunity to use a carriage or coach. In the beginning only reach men could afford to use these conveniences. At first these "vehicles" were drawn by horses. Later, a plain engine replaced horses. And because time is changing very fast nowadays there are much better cars with better and quality components. Certainly there are several people who use their car every day also for shorter distances. And because they are very idle this is the simpler way how to reach their finish. But although cars are very useful and helpful they can be also very dangerous, especially when you meet one of those irresponsible and unscrupulous drivers. I see there are plenty of such people on our roads and highways and therefore we all have to be very careful, while some of them are also very unpredictable.

Producers of the newest cars know this risk, so they try to develop something which should help drivers when getting into dangerous situations. Seatbelts are, of course, unthinkable part of every vehicle but now there are more involved mechanisms built-in our vehicles. There are better brakes which are more sensitive and sensible and they respond better to driver's requests. There are also some sensors which measure the distance between your car and those standing or going in front and behind yours, or such sensors which can automatically slow down the car speed a bit without driver's help. Every of these measurements should mean fewer car crashes on our roads and higher safety for car crew.

Also Japan third-biggest car company, Nissan, has produced new generation of cars which includes better brake system. Sensors can apprehend and monitor vehicles in your car's surrounding and are capable to warn you by visual and audible warnings, what should help to avoid the possible crash. Nissan is also working on a system to protect pedestrians, using anonymous global positioning system (GPS) signals from mobile phones to alert motorists to their presence.

Cars companies want to improve all these facilities in order to keep the drives and car crews more safe, comfortable and pleasant without any additional worries.

I think this is good start. We need only more responsible drivers as well as more responsible pedestrians in order to be less deadly or other accidents!
