Amazon.com just came up with TextBuyIt, a shop-by-cell phone service, which offers you the chance to compare prices and order cheaper products. It may sound good, but the flaws of the concept might drive you away when it comes to substantial shopping. Although it is easy to be set up on the cell phone or on the Internet, it has a major lack in service help. TextBuyIt has no help operator to offer live help for products users might not find and the answers sent through texts are rather confusing.
It is easy to purchase choosing the payment method that best suits you and the products will be delivered to the address registered. Also when you order something they make sure you fully understand the cost of it and that of the shipment which could raise signs of concern. All items over $25 have free standard shipping for all users, while the free two-day shipping is reserved to the Amazon Prime service. Bear in mind that TextBuyIt offers prices of the items that Amazon sells directly and nothing else that third-party merchants offer (very expensive products).
If you order a book, than the new service is exactly what you need. However, the prices in general are similar or the difference is very small and if the shipping is added than it would really be no difference or even more disadvantageous.
