Chrome notebooks coming mid-2011 by Milota Sidorova

I know some people who buy electronic goods because of brands, they virtually don't care that much for the content, they simply buy it for image. Some people buy it for software, it's simple, if you don't want viruses, buy Mac platform, if you want that kind of operation platform, buy this smartphone or that computer. Corporations know the power of branding and it seems to be quite a trend to buy according to image of one part of a whole mechanism. Let's take Google for instance. It tried so hard to promote its Android operation system, putting it on smartphones and expanding its own image in every possible way. Now there are reports that basically say, buy Android phone, n! ot buy Samsung smartphone with Android. We can see that one part, a software has taken leadership over the whole product. The brand new browser Chrome is the same case And Google seems to be doing well with Chrome so far. Well it was just a matter of time to put Android on notebooks and Pcs. However, the plan to launch first volume of Chrome based notebooks before Christmas and hang on shopping maddness was perhaps too ambitious. The company reported it would miss Christmas season due software problems and errors. The difference between Chrome and any other notebook will be better internet communication and less software. So Chrome will be strong enough to broadcast more and more applications via network, so the machine itself will have less software. It may be good for some, but on the other way it means notebook user will be more and more dependent on network and its capacity. And of course it is just a step from paying for every software use in time. So instead of buyin! g one permanent software, permanent movie or music download, u! sers wil l be required to pay for instant use and access to data or programs. And that's what I call real IT goldmine!
