The 21st century is a century of technology and every day there are new products for making our lives easier and more comfortable. Scientist are still preparing better and better products which always have higher speed, their range is longer etc. One of these super technical products is also WiMax. WiMax is a communications system which is wireless and it will be able to connect customers on the Internet if they are about 30 miles from fixed stations or 3 & 10 miles from mobile stations. It means that whenever you are you can be browsing on the web as you were at home. However this will also depend on the number of users. Another big plus is the speed of WiMax Internet connections & it should be much higher than is known these days & 10 megabits per second! This will allow to many people around the world to be connected on the web, looking videos, listen to music or radio stations through Internet etc. But it will not be used only by "normal mortals". It will be helpful and profitable in other areas such as business or science. Big number of businessmen, analysts, lawyers will save their precious time by using it and WiMax will allow them to use their time effectively. As we can see Sprint Nextel believes in their new product & they want to spend on its production $ 5 billion by 2010. Also the number of subscribers says that WiMax will be the name of a technology future and will be probably mentioned much more than it is now. Its only a question of time when WiMax will come to European and Asia-Pacific countries. They even think about Russia and Japan. Preparations for global growing of WiMax are running & notebooks with higher power will have WiMax technology built maybe already in 2008, and cards which should plug customer into a slot in his computer should be also available. Also Intel & the biggest maker of microprocessors in the world made a bet that mobile WiMax will have a big success and thats why Intel share to produce & they develop chipsets for WiMax. Only real technology scientists know what the WiMax will be able to do and what functions it will have, we just have to be patient and wait till this new product will come to us.
