"Three-D should be a new way for us to dream and design the future of our world," The chief executive Bernard Charles of French company Dassault Systemes said at Nvision- the very first conference in the heart of Silicon Valley devoted to computer imagery and all its advances that are rapidly changing the way people and artificial machines interact. "It will impact everything we do: education, science, talking to each other ... of course games,"he concludes. The conference took part last week and is considered to open a new visual computing era.
"It's not personal computing anymore, it's visual computing, " said Jeff Han, founder of Pixel. He is also known as a father of touch- screen.
Visual computing has done some severe steps to enter the real life and has solved some challenging problems to be apliable to more and more companies around the world. And finally, it is not just the gamers´ field that gained. Important breakthroughs were introduced in many fields during this three-day conference in San Jose.
Starting with the car makers, they toy the idea of letting costumers to go on a virtual test drives. This is matched to the previous graphics software which helps them to customize automobiles.
The breakthroughts could be gain also in financial modeling or weather forecasting.
Optitex, an Israel-based company, introduced a brand new software for designers to help them see what fashion will look before garments are made. This looks so realistic, that designers can act like with fashion like on people.
According to the some experts, computer simulation will be so realistic that they will reflect physical experiences.
Chris Malachowsky, a co-founder of NVIDIA, spoke about the rising tendency of strenhthening trend of 3D imagery. He also told about visual computing to be used in medicine and to provide a real 3D picture of patients´ organs.
It is amazing all of these. Hope that nothing of this technology created to help people and for people will be used to harm them.
