Google Preparing for Holidays
by Claudia Sonea

Can you hear it? The tune from the Coca-Cola commercial seems to get clearer every day as the holiday season is getting closer. For most people is a time of joy, a time of getting reunited with the loved ones and the only period when we put aside all financial worries and break the piggy bank to buy presents. For retailers and most businesses, the holidays are not a moment of relaxation as this is the time when they can get the biggest sales ever and else market the brand so that it will increase in popularity. From top cell phone carriers to top clothes brand are already preparing promotions, discounts and advertising campaigns. The Int! ernet’s Midas is no exception! As the top web browsing engine with a huge popularity and a success in making money by exploiting trends, people’s desires, Google opened the preparations for the holidays with the marketing campaign, providing free Wi-Fi access in over 40 airports across the country. Considering that this is the time when people are generous, the Internet mogul also thought to add a browser page enabling surfers to donate to charities. The WiFi will be powered by a mobile broadband network of ground towers called Gogo Inflight Internet that works on all WiFi devices and require three easy steps in order to connect: turn on your WiFi, connect to the ‘gogoinflight’ signal and then to airborne.gogoinflight.com after launching the Internet browser. It is simple and free, just what the doctor prescribed. Don’t forget to hunt for other offers as this is only the beginning. Shopping is always better during the holiday! s. Don’t go away, more to come!
