Maybe I was wrong when I thought that Google is a company of two modest guys from Stanford University. It was. Now it is another business giant which wants more and more. And probably there is nothing wrong on it. Google as any other developer is moving forward. After development of successful open source web browser and mobile operating system Android, this American public corporation is buying mobile advertising network AdMob. AdMob which was founded in 2006 by Omar Hamoui, 32, is now the world’s largest mobile advertising marketplace which offers solutions for mobile web, what means they are “building tools to let every business on earth leverage mobile.̶! 1; The growing number of people surfing the Web on phones made Google Inc. to buy AdMob for $750 million. AdMob which specializes in delivering more visual messages (display advertising) enables Google to trigger more acquisitions and investments in the mobile ad niche. Some analysts were surprised that Google is investing this incredible amount instead of developing system themselves, but Google’s vice president of product management, Susan Wojcicki said that buying AdMob helps them supercharge Google’s products and accelerate them. But there is not only Google who is satisfied. Omar Hamoui wrote in his announcement how happy and lucky they are to be able to work with Google. “We have been blown away by their entrepreneurial attitude, their speed, and their insight” he wrote on the AdMobs webpage. According to Hamoui, Google’s passion for innovation and new ideas are crucial, and even though this transaction represents only a part of their ove! rall interest in mobile, AdMob is “looking forward to wo! rking wi th them to make sure that the future of mobile is no longer so far away.”
