Microsoft intends to attract teenagers with Pink project by Zivka Deleva

Mobile phone technology today is running the faster it can. It seems like competitors don’t even sleep just to be able to follow each other’s ideas and steps. Now, scared that it is starting to lose the Smartphone market, Microsoft is coming out with a new line of cool phones dedicated to the younger consumers. It is known as “The Pink project”, and the new handsets are named as Turtle and Pure. But, their release date is not yet precisely defined. By some press, the public will have the opportunity to see Microsoft “newborns” on April 12 in San Francisco. The cell phones are going to be sold a month later, under the motto: “It̵! 7;s time to share”. According to some analysts this step might help the world’s largest software company to get back on the market for operating systems for phones. The new models of the Smartphone are similar to the popular Sidekick, Smartphone for young people that has become very popular, especially when it was hugely promoted on the show Gossip Girl. The both stylish handsets are going to use Verizon Wireless network and will have social media services included. Still, these phones, according to Microsoft management are not supposed to win over the market and help the company as much as it is needed. Still, the hopes are for the Windows Phone 7 which was launched two months ago, to gain more consumers and to take over more Google’s Nexus One’s users. According to a technology research firm, Microsoft shares decreased since November, dropping for non-negligible 4 percents. By the same poll, Google is the fastest-growing rival, and that’s w! hy it is very normal who Microsoft is afraid the most of.
