After more than one month since IBM announced the acquisition of Cast Iron Systems, one of the top cloud integration companies on the market, services using "cloud computing" technology have come up to the ramp. According to the specialists the next best thing in the IT industry is cloud computing and the use of such a technology is increasing rapidly. What is cloud computing? It is a new model of consumption and delivery for IT services based on the Internet like Salesforce, Amazon and Google. The services are not offered for free, but on demand and involve the sharing of resources. For a better unders! tanding let’s take a look at the newest service brought to Internet surfers by MSpot. Since yesterday, you have the possibility to listen your music from any computer or phone running on Google's Android software over the Internet. MSpot is offering a music service that stores users’ music on its computers and then they can listen it remotely through a Web browser. If you store up to 2GB, the service is free, but for more you could pay between $3 and $14 according to the amount stored. How will the service ensure that the artists are not ripped off, taking into consideration that it opens new ways for sharing music without having to purchase a license. The CEO says that music is uploaded only from one computer and it can be listened from one phone. Actually the part with the listening and downloading is rather unclear. Because the truth is you can listen only from one phone at a time and! there has been no mention whatsoever as far as the computers ! that can access via the Internet to listen music.
