The Pentagon exposed
by Claudia Sonea
USA finally found what they were looking for in Afghanistan: resources. The fact that we consume the resources a lot faster than they can reproduce is well known and nations all over the world are now preoccupied with discovering a solution to the rapidly growing population of the globe and the continuous exploitation of the natural resources. Americans have come up with the best idea, to declare war to countries and then invade them in order to steal the resources. General David Petreaus, the main supporter of keeping the soldiers in Afghanistan, announced that a military patrol came across surveys with directions towards billion of dolla! rs mineral deposits: copper, gold, iron, etc. The Pentagon knew of the existence of the deposits from 2007, but they made it public only now due to the fact that on Friday there were reports showing that the war is not going too well. Hoping to convince the American public that the US must remain in Afghanistan and that there were results obtained following the military missions, the Pentagon exposed not only a secret held back from the public, but also the intentions the US government had when initiating the was. As it is, thousands of brave soldiers lost their lives and many more will lose still due to the politicians’ greed. If the US discovers the deposits, the exploitation of the resources will take place really fast and the Afghans will most certainly see little profit from the deposits existent on their territory. Don’t go away, more to come…
