by Claudia Sonea
Although the iPhone was not that successful as Apple had expected to be, the company still surprises with the newest models of iMac with 20-inch and 24-inch versions. It will revolutionize PC industry and will bring forward a slimmer design and faster chips. The price takes us by surprise too, 200 to 300 dollars cheaper than the oldest models. They are all-in-one desktop computers with aluminum casings and the last model of iMac was released in September 2006, therefore everyone expected to get something new on the market. Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs presented the new product. Apple shipped a record 1.76 million Mac with earnings of 2.5 billion dollars. The company is still providing the 17-inch iMac model to schools, according to Apple's chief operating officer, Tim Cook. To compete better with the rival Microsoft Corp., it introduced iWork productivity software called Numbers that offers the same spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel. Despite all the trading and latest products, Apple's shares have fell 22 cents, but in extended trading have gained 69 cents. The company had the fastest grow in PC industry and is about to hit hard the market with the new iMac. Before we make any other forecast and be wrong like in the case of the iPhone, let's see how it will work and how will all turn out. Surf some more and find out what this product reserves you.
