SigEx Telecom : Windows Vista update patch
by Ana Maria Ciobanu

Hey you 60 million(supposed) Windows Vista users! Rumor has it there are some Vista patches in unofficial form running free on the Web. The update is supposed to help you with driver compatibility, increase file system performance and many others. I don't think it would be a smart move to install this Beta patch when v.1.0 of Windows is officially coming out next week. You just have to wait for automatic updates soon. Installing the Beta patch is kind of like children who are filling their machines with demo games. The update is called Vista Performance and Reliability Pack and is bound to solve some of the issues customers have been reporting. It will improve performance in resuming back to the desktop from the Photo and Windows Energy screensaver; it will resolve an issue where creating AVI files on Vista may get corrupted, it will improve the performance in calculating the ''estimated time remaining'' when copying/moving large files, it will improve the performance when copying or moving entire directories containing large amounts of data or files and many more that you'll probably see when you'll update your Vista. The main idea is that this update will improve Windows performance and this is a very good thing. I think I'll stick to my Windows XP though, for at least another year because I don't feel like changing my whole computer's hardware just to be able to install Vista. More RAM, a bigger hard drive, a faster processor...not yet. You Vista proud users out there should wait for the official update patch next week. Have fun with it!
