Apple to introduce a slim laptop
by Daniela Simkova
At this years Macworld event in San Francisco, Apple wants to introduce an extra slim laptop. Steve Jobs, a Apple Chief Executive, will introduce new products to the market. Many analysts think, that he will also announce that consumers will be able to rent downloaded movies. Shaw Wu, an analyst with American Technology Research says: "I think the rentals are a bigger deal. Apple has just simply not served that market yet and I think that's going to open up a whole new revenue opportunity." The analysts also expect that the ultra slim computer will be a half as thick as the present computer and memory chips will probably be alike as the ones used in the iPod players. "What I'm guessing we might see from Apple is something a little more recognizable as a MacBook device, as a derivative of a laptop or tablet rather than a cool new form factor that sits between laptop and mobile phone," expressed Charles Golvin, an analyst with a market research firm Forrester. Laptops are the Apples strongest products on the market. Shaw Wu says: "Apple's still going to be one of the better names to be involved in in the tougher environment. The product cycles are so strong." The Apple brand is still getting better.
