Dropped calls plague iPhone 3G, and not just in U.S.
by Paulina Neshybova

The problem with dropped call has risen in tah past few days. Now i tis not only problem in U.S, but in the whole world where are people using IPohones 3G. The complaints begin to be very loud as they cause the users to call many times because of dropping. The problem is mainly when the 3G phone is trying to move to another network.
Probably everyting lies on the chipset made by Infineon Technologies, a German chipmaker. However, the sources could not be identified, as they are not allowed to talk about it in public.Of course the AT&T and Apple are now tryting to solve the porblem as soon as possible. The fix could be available next week thorught iTunes. The chipset is a gropu of chips designed for cooperating and it allows to shift from one network to another. The porblem with them is global, as in every store where iPhone is beiing sold they have problems and iPhone is spreaded in more than c20 countries. However, Apple company refused to comment it and AT&T company si declining to say whether the porblem is in the chips or somwhere else. But because the iPhone is as a small computer, the porblem could lie anywhere. The components of this miniature computer are designed by different manufacturers and after theya re made, they are cobbled together on the board in the factory.
Although the chips are under various tests, there is a possibility that they can be damaged in transfer or in the manufacturing process. But the AT&T company has an equipment which can identify the bad device and by this pinpoint the concrete manufacturer.
