Chris Cantell Discusses Technologies: RealNetworks releasing DVD copying software by Paulina Neshybova

Company RealNetworks Inc. Is going to release a new produkt which is even now quite a bit confidental. It should allow people to copy DVDs to their PCs. However, there is a possibility that in Hollywood it will spread a big discussion or maybe also wrath.
The difference between this product and other software programs made for copying, this one would be able to copy a DVD to a copmuter or portable hard rives but it will not change any content system or the enscryption which us usually on every commercial DVD.
It will be able to make a copy in 10to 40 minutes and the consumer will be able to use it on no more than 5 computers.
Chief Executive Rob Glaser from RealNetworks has a brave opinion, that his product will be widely spread not only among businessmen by also in families.
The product wasd to be released on Monday, but eventually they decided to change it to the end of the month and makeit even better. It will cost $30 and if someone wants to use it on other copmuters as well, he can buy 4 other additional software licenses and each will cost $20 .
However, the entertainmetn and music inudstry or studios may not be fully satisfied with it, although it will contain encryption. Everyone knows how they are careful when something has to do with content protection issues. They await some kind of response from entertainment companies, because everyone knows that people would probably use to also for copying something that does nor really belong to them. They can borrow thongs from friends, or even rent from Netflix or other simillar companies. RealNetworks responded that tehy will remind users about the possibility of what would happen if they break the rules, but there is nothing more they can do with it.
