Nero software brings TiVo to the PC

The cooperation between Nero and TiVo has brought first fruit with so called LiquidTV which transfers the entire TiVo interface and feature set onto Windows PCs. Before introducing this newest product let's just have a quick look on the two companies involved for not everyone has to know what these companies deal with precisely. TiVo is a brand of digital video recorder (DVR) in the United States, Canada and Australia. It captures television broadcast to hard disk storage so that consumers are able to view it later. Nero AG is German software company best known for it CD and DVD-burning package called Nero Burning ROM. It was founded in 1995 and originally known as Ahead Software AG. Now back to the product of their collaboration. Well, customers will be able to record, pause and watch television shows on their computers. These are the basics, something that has been here for years. In addition, this PC version enables transferring the content between computers and also to iPods, PlayStation and burning to DVD. "There is an emerging opportunity for a PC-based DVR service that offers easy access to television content on a wide variety of devices," said Bruce McGregor, senior analyst for Current Analysis. The whole package that comes to the stores on 15 October includes TV tuner card for capturing television signals, the software compatible with Windows XP and Vista, TiVo remote and subscription to TiVo service for one year. Price is $199. For those who already have TV tuner setup there is possibility to buy TV recording software separately for $99. "Everything you can do with your TiVo, you can do with our product," said Nero in the statement. This next generation DVR product certainly enables you to enjoy your favorite shows whenever you want and wherever you go. So enhance your digital lifestyle!
