Even trade and business need their software. Sometimes when you look at the pictures from markets, you can see hundreds of people with their eyes glued on the monitor calls, hysterically shouting the results into phone microphones, hanging from their heads. The whole group remains of ant's house with permanent movement, noise and the rules of its own.Then you realize, these trades are sometimes a question of seconds. Strangely, here is the rule, the first one coming, takes it all. Now you imagine, technological requirements of software being able to follow and manage this madness. The system needs to be more than quickly enough and stable.Now something new, but not entirely! new is coming into this market. ALGO Technologies have released new software able to cut trade execution time to the level closing to the speed of light. Let's add here some more facts – the system is able to send information all over the system outside exchange firewall only for 16 microseconds. That equals to a millionths of a second. Nasdaq OMX for instance gets the speed of 250 microseconds per round-trip, BATS Europe on 270 microseconds and Chi-X needs 400 microseconds for single action. These data were released by independent firm Corvil, last week.According ALGO chief executive and co-founder Hirander Misra, the speed of trading reached the speed of light and it is significant obstacle for rival systems. Misra also said, this speed killed the “latency debate” that is a name for a time spend for waiting for the answer.But still, even if machines reach the speed of light, there will be always human at the end of the line waiting for the answer. That ! man, fortunately or not doesn't even dream of such speeds.
