Rumors about Facebook building its own plan have turned out to be false, at least for now. Although TechCrunch website aired the information that Facebook was secretely building a software for a phone and working with a third party on hardware that would shortly mean the whole mobile phone, the information was killed by Jaime Schopflin, Facebook's spokesman. The company however, entered the mobile phone industry last May and enabled this application on several mobile phones (iPhone or Blackberry). The application was „reduced“ and limited bandwidth Internet connection users. Schopfin suggested it would be „more effective“ if all efforts focused on! existing platforms, instead of building brand new mobile phone software. But TechCrunch reported the company wanted to get into the contact list and core functions that would mean the general control over the operating system. According to some observers the situation remained of Google's case. The biggest searching global engine dismissed the claims it was going to release its own mobile phone and the next year Nexus One appeared with Android operating system. HTC made the hardware for Nexus One. But comparing Facbook and Google is almost impossible. While Google progressively focuses on many projects and interfere different areas in last years, its younger „colleague“ has been working on one product – social network. And although it is one of the five most important technology companies in the world having more than 500, 000 users, the information it could develop brand new system and effective platform is hard to believe.
