Rumors are spreading quickly, but only occasionally also truthfully. While millions of people are daily logging on social network Facebook to reach their friends and acquaintances, others start discussions about new Facebook mobile phone. Facebook has more than 500 million users worldwide and this privately held company already has applications on a number of mobile phones. That is the reason, why some believe the company plans another “attack”. The rumor was released by TechCrunch.com. Their source with knowledge of the project revealed that Facebook not only wants to build software for a phone, but is also working with a third party to build the hardware. Acco! rding to the source Facebook wants to integrate deeply into the contacts list and core functions of a mobile phone. But social network said on Sunday it is not truth. As Jaime Schopflin, a spokesman for Facebook said, website is pushing deeper into the mobile phones sector, but didn’t plan to build its own phone. “Our view is that almost all experiences would be better if they were social, so integrating deeply into existing platforms and operating systems is a good way to enable this.” Schopflin said in a statement. But stripped-down version of Facebook which was designed for mobile phones with limited bandwidth Internet connections in May is understood differently. Last year Google Inc tried similar tactic when it dismissed media reports about its plans to build a phone. And later it came out with the Nexus One. So what more to say than: whatever the Facebook’s plan is, we cannot change it!
