Microsoft Unveils Office 365 by Magdalena Rosova

On Tuesday Microsoft sent its Office business suite into the Internet “cloud.” The company has adapted to a new shift that is different from the packaged software on which Microsoft's fortunes were built. Microsoft Office 365 now can be rented the same way as another products as SharePoint, Exchange and Lync programs. It means that customers may rent it as a online service, which can spare companies the expense. Companies further do not have to bother with installing and maintaining the software on their computers. President of Office division Kurt DelBene said that the company had decided for this step because they had believed it would improved the way people ! work. Thanks to this new method people and companies can stay focused on their business and Microsoft with its experts take care of the technology. Microsoft's plan is to launch a website Office365.com where small or big companies can sigh up and take part in a beta program. According to executives, public version of the service will be available worldwide next year. Just for illustration, Office 365 for small businesses can be set up in 15 minutes and it would cost the company only six dollars per month per user. The price for bigger businesses will be a bit different and it will rage from two to 27 dollars for monthly per-user subscription. Microsoft's senior vice president Chris Capossela said that this new step proved a great growth of opportunity. Until now Microsoft has only competed in the software space but now they have much more possibilities.
