Probably one of the most annoying and problematic matters connected with traveling is threat of various diseases. These who are more predisposed to catch some exotic disease are then also bigger threat for others, as they are usually spreading it quickly further. Fortunately two commercially available scanners can reliably detect people with fevers, informed Reuters. These scanners would be more than needed in all kinds of public transport, as they can detect people with fevers and so help during disease outbreaks. Unfortunately, machines like these are too expensive to be located at every travel junction, so they are mostly used at the airports, where the threat is bigger.! These scanners are working at a distance of 3 to 6 feet and at this distance they can give useful information about passengers’ health. As fever is a common indicator of many infectious diseases work of these scanners is more effective than asking people if they feel feverish, people from U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has found.
