Senator examining rising text messaging rates
by Radka Konkolova

I think everyone notices our recent life is faster and faster and people have got more and bigger request to things and ways for their daily management. Most of them have lots to do every day so they look for something what would help them organise their timesheet in the best way in order to be always on the right place on time and for something what would make their daily life easier. So inventors came with brilliant idea of cell phones.

Several years ago cell phones were very big, unpractical and also very expensive, so people couldn’t afford to possess such gismo. But thanks to micro technology and other researches cell phones become part of daily life of almost every man in developed world. In some parts of the world they are more used than in other parts, anyway this convenience is sign of modern and fast life in a hurry. Mobiles help people to manage their time and to change their decisions so they can easily let the other person know they have changed their mind.

Nowadays you can choose from plenty of various types of mobile phones with various features. But not only functions are very important. What is probably more important for people is agreement with operators providing phone services. They can differ from each other and sometimes it is really difficult to choose the right one which would match customer’s request. In almost every country there are at least two providers competing in this market field. And every of them want to acquire customers to join into their networks; they always prepare better and advantageous offers.

But sometimes providers can sign the agreement which relates to prices of providing services. This agreement is not legal but it is very difficult to prove it. But in the United States there is probably suspicion of such agreement among nation’s top four wireless carriers. According to a key member of the Senate Judiciary Committee they have sharply rose rates and prices of sent and received text messages.

This key member, named Kohl, have sent a letter to all four wireless carriers in order to give them opportunity to declare their consideration to this situation. So their statements are awaited…
