by Milota Sidorova
You may love iPhone for its design, anatomic shape or the image. It may be „darling“ of the phones, but it seems to be causing some troubles in Europe. Breaking screens and overheating batteries including health injuries are the main black bugs hunting 3G smartphone generation and nor the price, neither Apple brand could make it right. Oh, yes, these kinds of things happen all the time, but it may be a serious quest for a company, boasting itself the best smartphone seller ever. The case has grown so much that even French consumer affairs minister is meeting senior executive from Apple on Friday to discuss a number of incidents. World media are on the move as w! ell. According BBC, Apple said there was no general breakdown in the devices, in all the cases the usage of external power has to be proven. NY Times quoted the company officials that it was coincidence of isolated cases occuring apparently in France and Great Britain. According an internal investigation in the company, there was no mistake from its side. European consumers were complaining their requests were shut down in clinet service centers. Let’s admit it could be possible. But once it got published, the media buble effect caused the company said it was waiting to receive all troubling devices. KIRO TV from Seattle immediately showed up more than 800 pages of documents from the Consumer Product Safety Commision in which also burning or flaming iPods appear. Summing it up, Apple is fighting for the image of its key product. It may be heavy attack for their phones, since laptop sales went down and the company transfered considerable part of investion into high q! uality small devices.
