Ping is new hit from Apple
by Zivka Deleva
I can't explain the phenomenon called Apple. No matter what this company invents for its customers, they accept it so easily and with impatience. The last new idea of this telecommunication company is a new music-focused social network named Ping. In only two days, more than one million people have joined the network! Sincerely, before I find out that there is something like that, some new technological advance, someone else that is so eager to have it all. This new network has been promoted five days ago, traditionally from the chief executive of the company Steve Jobs in San Francisco. He says that almost one third of the people that already download iTunes 10, are signed! up as well for Ping. Judging by the first success, the company expects that more and more people are going to use this network to get easily their favorite music. Not only you can listen to music, but this site network allows free download at the site itunes.com where you can as well get some information about your favorite musician, group. That's a nice thing to do, don't you think? But, there has been one big problem concerning the spamming. The company hadn't made a protective system how to safe its new program from spammers. "Ping implements no spam or URL filtering. The service is drowning in scams and spams", says Internet security firm Sophos. So, some musicians already react that other people are hiding behind their profiles and represent themselves as someone else. This is very important thing and it poses the question of the credibility. I believe Apple is going to solve this problem, too.
