Our planet is not inexhaustible, but there are only few people who realize it. Most of us never think about it, even when we are at some kind of environmental debate! No, I am kidding. That was just a silly joke, but the truth is, many of us, even realizing this terrible fact, are doing nothing to help our planet and the next generations! And why is it so? The main reason is because it is easier and cheaper to do it in this way. But (and fortunately) alternative sources of energy will not disappear just because of our indifference! And we are lucky, that some of the most powerful corporations in the world are supporting it! Latest world news informed about Google, which pla! ns to invest its money into five billion-dollar project of wind powerhouse. This project should power about 1.9 million households on the US East Coast, the most densely populated part of the USA. In the project which was described as a new “superhighway” for alternative energy would be partly provided by Google with its 37.5 percent of the initial funding. Project called “the Atlantic Wind Connection” should start in 2013 and it should be completed in 2020. As Rick Needham, director of green business operations and strategy at Google informed, Google was open to further investment later. Another 37.5 percent will be invested by Good Energies, a company which invests in green energy projects. Japanese trading house will have a 15 percent stake. John Breckenridge, an executive at Good Energies said the project should fix “a lot of what’s been done wrong.” I hope this project is going well.
