Intel breaks its own revenue records
by Zivka Deleva
I am certain that President Obama is going to congratulate personally to the executive chiefs of the computer chip giant Intel this month. OK, I am not suggesting anything, but if some dozens of companies have noted such financial success as Intel did in the last quarter and if I was to be asked, I would congratulate personally to those masters. To be strict – Intel has done a huge progress in the last quarter. Its net profit topped some three billion dollars! But, this is not the only reason for celebration – they have posted record revenue of more than 11 billion dollars! This figure may mean nothing to you (as it did for me), but when you get to compare it wi! th a rise of 18 percent in according with last year, then, that is a lot. In economy which still is fighting with the last aftermaths of the great recession, such samples are more than welcomed. That’s why I began this blog with Mr.Obama, because he is the kind of politician that always wants to make news out of anything. The biggest influence on the revenue in this period came from the increased sale of Intel’s higher-end processors. All groups of revenue in the company, like the PC client or the data center noted percent increasing. One of the reasons for this success is the bigger expanding at the China market. As chief executive Paul Otellini explained that there weren’t a lot of differences in the US and European sell balance. Intel’s new direction in the leading of its business is going towards the Atom-powered Google TV, that is about to be launched this month.
