Chris Cantell Discusses Technologies: Attempts to open online communities
by Lucia Hrusovska

I am sure, that in the age like the current one we are living in, it is absolutely useless to tell you something more about social networking. The Internet and daily work with it has become an indispensable part of our lives and as we have still less and less free time, meeting and talking with our friends through the one of many social network sites available is for all of us very welcome and especially very comfortable. Using of these social networks brings along also much fun. After you register, you can create your own profile, list of friends, add different photos, comments...everything you want to show or share with others. There are quite big number of such sites, but according to statistics, Facebook and MySpace belong between the most used ones. However, as it is common, there are also some negatives besides positive things, and in a connection with social network sites it is the fact, that you can not simply relocate already added information or created profiles. Many users say that it is like doing a driving license again and again in every state you drive, that it is simply just a waste of time. Both Facebook and MySpace has already started working on enabling an option to simply relocate users' profiles or whatever they want to arbitrary site they choose. However, both of them say, that it will take a certain time and there is a need to be careful to ensure a security and to avoid a misusage of information.
