404 million is the number of Chinese users of the internet services every day! My oh my, we must admit that this is not a number that should be neglected. That’s why, the biggest internet giant Google is interested to stay on the biggest world market and accept the almost hermetical closed China government politics on the communication issue. Google officials announced few days ago that they are going to stop the practice to redirect their Chinese users to an uncensored site in Hong Kong, which they are doing for a while. The problem was Chinese government censors that are afraid that security problems might occur easily and that they can control their people better! . Due to the censorship, Google’s officials decided at the beginning of the year that they are not going to stay on the Chinese market and blocked their search engine. The Chinese license ends exactly today but it seems like the China government has become so paranoid that is not ready sign some compromising agreements with Google Co., on the filtering on search results. Chinese government didn’t accept with open heart the redirection of its people connection to Google through Hong Kong. And Google’s first men were aware of the potential punishment from China. In the IT terms, that means not giving another license in the future. ''Without an ICP license, we can't operate a commercial website like Google.cn - so Google would effectively go dark in China. ''This new approach is consistent with our commitment not to self-censor and, we believe, with local law. We are therefore hopeful that our will be renewed on this basis'' – wrote chief legal office! r David Drummond on Google’s blog.

American company Google, a big potential “fighter” for human rights in China finally gave it up. Democracy was defeated by capitalism. And China is riding high now. The story which had such a promising beginning ended up very quickly and shamefully – but this time for Google. In the early 2010 Google informed that its google.cn was censored by Chinese government and so they decided to operate in this communist country indirectly by automatic redirecting Chinese users to an uncensored site in Hong Kong. Everyone knew this way of “cooperation” couldn’t last forever, but probably no one expects this quick end. Government license for Google C! ompany expires today, what means that Google has to stop an automatic redirect to its Hong Kong site. “It is clear from conversations we have had with Chinese government officials that they find the redirect unacceptable – and that if we continue redirecting users, our Internet Content Provider license will not be renewed.” said Google’s chief legal officer David Drummond. As it is seen, China has confirmed its position of world power again and there is no other choice for Google. Google will either agree with terms of Chinese government or will have to leave China. But we all know that leaving country with the world’s largest online population at 404 million is too difficult if not impossible. That is why Google decided to “end the redirect entirely”. Google’s ICP license is coming up for renewal today, and the Internet giant has re-submitted its application based on what it called a “new approach”. As Drummond sa! id: “This new approach is consistent with our commitment! not to self-censor and, we believe, with local law.”

Apple breaks its own records! After just three days since its latest product reached stores, the American multinational corporation announced that 1.7 million units were sold. All eyes were on Apple designers and engineers as iPhone 4 was one of the most awaited products of 2010. Many of those who purchased the smartphone did not even need a new one; they just bought it for the reputation of the manufacturer and based on the performance of the previous models. Why did people get through so much trouble and spent so much money on a luxury like a cellphone? The answer is never simpl! e, but once you get your hands on the iPhone 4, you will understand it immediately. It is light almost as a feather being 9.3 millimeters thin, which makes it not only the thinnest on the market but also a product appropriate to all types of persons. Its predecessors had great features, smooth connections, nice look, but a little bit too big for some people, especially for women with a mignon figure like myself. Now, the iPhone 4 gives the opportunity to use a high-tech product and not look weird. Another aesthetic need that Apple’s newest smartphone feeds is that of looking like you just got it out of the box. Usually there are various incidents that result in scratches on the glass or on the backside of the phone. However, with iPhone 4, you don’t have to worry about that because it will always look like new. It is fully covered in the same type of glass used for the windshields of planes and helicopters. Customers! ’ needs were the major concern, but Apple didn’t f! orget th at the planet’s protection is important too, so for environmentalists’ tranquility, the glass is recyclable. The increasing demand for wireless internet use convinced Obama administration to accept the suggestion for doubling the available space for the Internet traffic. Videos and different applications are more and more used on laptops and mobile phones. Obama agreed to allow another 500 megahertz for the next decade. That account is available at the moment, though the US carriers still don't give all the space for the consumers. The proposal came from the Federal Communications Commission, according to who the Americans must be the leaders in the communication technologies. In the areas which are poorer it is going to be easier to improve the wireless system, than to make landl! ine networks. This is not an issue that should be neglected, more and more people use their iPhones and other company's smartphones. "America's future competitiveness and global technology leadership depend, in part, upon the availability of additional spectrum. The world is going wireless and we must not fall behind" - Obama wrote in the presidential memorandum. According to the experts, if the television broadcasters agree, they might give up some megahertz in favor of the Internet-users needs, but only if they don’t mind and not to make that on purpose. The biggest part of the spectrum would come from government agencies, but some from private companies as well. Obama’s administration is planning even to organize auction for commercial wireless carriers, so they will have bigger motivation to improve the wireless broadband network in the country. New jobs, investments and better future is the promise out of this plan. American people should accept this pl! an with open heart.

Since yesterday, you have the possibility to listen your music from any computer or phone running on Google's Android software over the Internet. MSpot is offering a music service that stores users’ music on its computers and then they can listen it remotely through a Web browser. If you store up to 2GB, the service is free, but for more you could pay between $3 and $14 according to the amount stored. How will the service ensure that the artists are not ripped off, taking into consideration that it opens new ways for sharing music without having to purchase a license. Musím priznať, že už je to nejaký čas čo som bola naposledy príjemne prekvapená. Väčšinou keď sa niečo nové dostaví na trh (napríklad nejaké nové zariadenie) len zriedka môžem na to úprimne povedať „wow“. Tento krát však musím uznať, že jedno „wow“ asi stačiť nebude. Microsoft prichádza s novým pohybovo-senzorickým hracím systémom zvaným „Kinect“. Bol vyrobený pre Xbox konzoly a do obchodov by sa mal dostať už v novembri. No ešte pred tý! m, ako pobežíte do nákupného centra je potrebné zistiť v čom je vlastne táto konzola odlišná od množstva ostatných. Podľa Microsoftu (i podľa mňa) Kinect vnáša do hier a zábavy život neobyčajným spôsobom. Konkrétne to znamená, že doterajšie ovládače na kábloch budú zastúpené vami samými. Všetko je totiž ovládané pohybom tela, rúk ba dokonca i hlasom. „Je to skrátka magické – váš pohyb, váš hlas, vaša tvár, všetko sa ľahko, prirodzene a obdivuhodne transformuje do spôsobu akým hráte a zabávate sa.“ tak aspoň oficiálne Microsoft uvádza svoj nový hrací systém. Tak a teraz už viete, čo ma na tejto novinke fascinuje najviac – skutočnosť, že n! 5;s nielen vtiahne do hry, ale hlavne postaví z gauč! ov. U 82; žiadne vysedávanie na zadkoch, ale aktívne a pohybové hry, ktoré nás aspoň na chvíľu rozhýbu. Hry ako „Dance Central“, „Kinect Sports“ či „Zumba Fitness“ boli navrhnuté práve pre to. Microsoft uvádza Kinect krátko pred rozhodujúcou Vianočnou nákupnou sezónou a hoci ešte nie je známa cena, analytici odhadujú, že cena tejto novej hračky sa bude pohybovať medzi 50 – 200 americkými dolármi. Spoločnosť Microsoft chce, aby Xbox 360 nebol vnímaný len ako hracie zariadenie, ale ako stredisko domácej zábavy. Okrem 15 hier, ktoré by mali byť v čase vypustenia Kinectu na trh k dispozícii ho môžete používať aj na surfovanie po internete, počúvanie hudby či sledovanie filmov. Microsoft predstavil svoj nový vylepšený internetový vyhľadávač Bing, ktorý umožní svojim používateľom priamy a rýchlejší prístup k video hrám, k hudbe a televíznym seriálom a programom. Microsoft sa snaží získať opäť svoje vedúce postavenie na trhu internetových vyhľadávačov. Viceprezident spoločnosti Yusuf Mehdi vysvetlil na prezentácii Binga, v čom spočíva invencia vynoveného vyhľadávača. Bing je obohatený univerzálnym ovládačom, ktorý uľah! 9;uje funkciu vyhľadávania. Vylepšený vyhľadávač mal svoju prezentáciu v pondelok v Bellevue, v Kalifornii. Používatelia Binga vďaka zmenám môžu počúvať hudbu, hrať video hry a pozerať televízne programy oveľa jednoduchšie ako pred tým. Všetko ich bude čakať na domácej stránke, hneď pri otvorení prehliadača. Bing pripravil aj niečo pre vlastníkov Zune, čo je Microsoftov rival obľúbeného iPodu od Apple. Zune je dostupný zatiaľ iba v Spojených štátoch a jeho používatelia si teraz môžu kupovať hudbu priamo z Binga. Vyhľadávač je obohatený hrami a televíznymi programami zo zásob Microsoftu. Ale spoločnosť uzatvorila aj zmluvy s veľkými spoločnosťami, ako sú CBS, Viacom a Hulu, ktor&#! 233; tiež dodajú svoje hry a televízne programy! . Vď ;aka tomu Bing ponúka užívateľom možnosť pozrieť si viac ako 15 tisíc televíznych seriálov a 20 tisíc epizód online. Avšak vylepšený Bing je zatiaľ dostupný iba v Spojených štátoch a vo Francúzsku. Za jeden rok svojej existencie Bing už ubral Googlu percentá z podielu na trhu. V máji mal Bing 12 percent a Google 63 percent podielu na trhu v USA. Ľudia z Microsoftu si uvedomujú, že môžu urobiť ešte oveľa viac, aby prekonali Google. Napríklad, zvýšili na Bingu počet linkov na sociálne siete. V budúcnosti plánujú spraviť viac zmien a sľúbili, že predstavia ešte viac nových nápadov.

Well it has been a very long time since something really surprised me pleasantly. Usually when something new is created (some new device for instance) I hardly can say “wow” on it. But this time I have to admit this deserves more than just one “wow”. Microsoft is unveiling its new motion-sensing game system called “Kinect”. It was made for the Xbox console and it should be in the shops by November. Before that, it can be seen at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. So what is this miracle about? According to Microsoft (and I must agree), Kinect brings games and entertainment to life in extraordinary new ways. That means no co! ntroller is required. Everything is controlled and moved by your own body and body moves. “It is just the magic of you – your movement, your voice, your face, all effortlessly, naturally and beautifully transforming how you play and experience entertainment.” says official Microsoft’s introduction to Kinect. Now you know, what made me so surprised and excited – game that was designed to get you off the couch and into the game. Games such as “Dance Central”, “Kinect Sports” or “Zumba Fitness” were designed just to make your body move. Microsoft has unveiled Kinect just before the crucial Christmas shopping season and even though the price is not known yet, analysts estimate range from $50 to $200. Microsoft released new improved Bing search engine which allows its users to access video games, music and TV shows online. Microsoft wants to regain its leading position in the online search market. Yusuf Mehdi, a vice president of the company, explained that the new inventive idea is to add a universal remote control which could search function. The renewed search engine had its presentation in Bellevue, California, on Monday. Users of Bing can now listen to music, play video games or watch TV series. Everything will wait them on the welcome page. Bing has also something new to offer owners of Zune, Microsoft's rival of iPod available in the United States. Users of Zune c! an buy music directly on Bing. The search engine is also enriched with games and TV shows from Microsoft's stock. A brand new Skype Web telephony application was launched on Sunday and it's popularity among people is amazingly growing. Since Sunday already 5 million consumers have downloaded the application which for the first time allows users of iPhone to use Skype over the cellular network. Before Sunday people could use Skype on iPhone only when they were connected to Wi-Fi. Despite the fact that Wi-Fi is spreading quite fast and one can find it in most of coffee shops, homes, offices and shopping centres, it is still not everywhere. The new application makes it possible to be on Skype all the time, not just when there is Wi-Fi around. Skype's general manager Russ Shaw told that mi! llions global users of iPhone had already downloaded the application. Shaw commented it was really positive for the company. It was a Skype spokeswoman who said more exact number of nearly five million downloads by Wednesday morning. Most downloads came from Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region, which are also Skype's three main operating regions. But Skype was criticized for its announcement that next year it would charge for 3G calls through Skype. If Skype really did swhat it promised, it would be a huge turnaround, because Skype became popular because it's calls were always free, no matter whether you use it on computer or phone. On Tuesday night, Apple´s chief executive Steve Jobs delivered a speech at All Things Digital technology conference in southern California saying that the company´s latest sensation, a tablet computer iPad has ambition to eventually replace personal computers for many people. He also revealed that the idea for iPad actually came before iPhone. When talking about iPad replacing personal computers used an interesting analogy of trucks and cars. He said that all vehicles used to be trucks but now they are cars with more attractive technological solutions that contribute to the comfort ride. People from the PC era are quick to adapt to various innovations, and so he ! might be right about that one. The idea for iPad came at the beginning of the 21st century, when the company was working on a telephone. The main feature from iPad´s prototype that Jobs used in iPhone is the notoriously famous scrolling mechanism. "I had this idea about having a glass display, a multitouch display you could type on with your fingers. I asked our folks: could we come up with a multitouch display that we could type on? V nedeľu Skype uviedol na trh novú aplikáciu, ktorá vyvolala medzi ľuďmi značný ohlas a záujem o ňu prudko narastá. Od nedele si stiahlo novú aplikáciu už viac ako 5 miliónov užívateľov iPhonu. Aplikácia po prvýkrát umožní ľuďom s iPhonmi používať Skype cez bežné 3G dátové siete. Pred tým používatelia mohli byť na Skzpe iba vtedy ak sa mohli svojim iPhonom pripojiť na nejakú bezdrátovú sieť. Napriek tomu, že Wi-Fi sa šíri naozaj rýchlo a nájdete ! ju vo väčšine dobrých kaviarní, v domovoch, kanceláriách a obchodných centrách, stále ani zďaleka neponúka celkové pokrytie. Nová aplikácia však umožňuje byť pripojený na Skype po celý čas a nie iba ak je v blízkosti dostupná Wi-Fi. Generálny riaditeľ Skypu, Russ Shaw, s radosťou konštatoval, že doposiaľsi stiahlo novú aplikáciu viac ako milión používateľov iPhonu z celého sveta. Neskôr hovorkyňa Skypu povedala, že do stredy ráno si aplikáciu stiahlo takmer päť miliónov užívateľov. Najviac stiahnutí bolo z Európy, Severnej Ameriky a Ázijsko-pacifickej oblasti, ktoré sú zároveň tri hlavné oblasti, v ktorých Skype pôsobí. Avšak Skype je kritizovaný pre svoje rozhodnutie o spo! platnení 3G hovorov od budúceho roku. Due to the fact that the Internet represents a competitive market, Yahoo’s CEOs agreed too that there is a great need to come up with something new. Google is so far ahead that giant steps should be made for Yahoo to reach it. Why would anyone choose Yahoo’s browser over Google’s? For the time been there are no reasons, but Yahoo is hopping to change all that in the nearby future. Rumor ! has it that new features will be added to Yahoo! sites like giving its email users the opportunity to share online activities and interests with contacts or use the email platform to post comments on Facebook. Next on the list for this summer is to add a link to the popular messaging service Twitter. The changes will take place gradually and users’ have been warned all week about the privacy settings and controls. The stake is high, as Facebook and Google already confronted with privacy issues, thus the move must be planned to the very last detail attempting to avoid a similar fate. Plus posilniť ich totálnu závislosť na internetovej sieti. O čom to rozprávam?Hovorme jednoducho. Spoločnosti s výborným predajom ako Apple sú momentálne v pozícii udávateľa svetového trendu. A tým je spoplatnenie každej možnej služby, ktorý prístroj poskytuje. Vezmime si na mušku napríklad p! osledný iPad. Predáva sa ako celkom multifunkčný stroj, avšak dokopy vie len prehrať hudbu, filmy, narábať s fotkami, čítať knihy a pripájať sa na internet. Skutočne, nejde o nič zložité. A celá jeho konektivita je zredukovaná na virálne pripojenie. Globálne sa očakáva, že táto zmena postihne nielen smartphony, ale aj notebooky a pevné poč! 7;tače. Určujúce bude predovšetkým internetové pripojenie. Internetová generácia sa teda pokojne zmení na zlatú baňu. A len tak pre zaujímavosť – tie exkluzívne výrobky ako iPad nemôžete kúpiť bez zmluvy. V utorok večer vystúpil vrchný riaditeľ spoločnosti Apple na technologicky zameranej konferencii All Things Digital v južnej Kalifornii a vo svojom prejave uviedol, že najnovšia senzácia Apple, tablet iPad má ambície postupne nahradiť klasické PC. Takisto prezradil, že nápad s iPad-om prišiel ešte pre iPhoe-om. Keď hovoril o tom, že iPad nahradí klasické PC použil zaujímavé prirovnanie s kárami a autami. Povedal, že všetky vozidlá boli kedysi len káry, no potom prišli autá, ktoré ponúkli omnoho príťa&! #382;livejšie technologické riešenia prispievajúce k pohodlnej jazde. Ľudia žijúci v ére PC si rýchlo zvykajú na nové vymoženosti, a preto by sa jeho predpoveď mohla naozaj splniť. Nápad na iPad sa zrodil na začiatku 21. storočia, kedy spoločnosť pracovala na výrobe telefónu. Hlavnou črtou z prototypu iPad-u, ktorú Jobs použil pri iPhone bol dnes už notoricky známy skrolovací mechanizmus. „Mal som svoju predstavu o sklenenom displeji, multidotykovom displeji, na ktorom by sa dali veci vyťukávať prstami. Spýtal som sa našich ľudí: dal by sa vymyslieť multidotykový displej, na ktorom by bolo možné všetko vyťukávať? A oni o šesť mesiacov prišli s prototypom. Pôvodný iPhone bol na trh uvedený v roku 2007 a v podstate spôsobil revolúciu. V súčasnosti sa dotykové mobilné telefóny, ktoré sú na trhu nedajú ani spočítať a z ich predaja plynú obrovské peniaze. Apple si stále udržiava svoje kreatívne a inovatívne tempo a 7.júna uvedie na trh novú verziu iPhone-u.

Začiatkom marca spustila spoločnosť Google nový internetový obchod s aplikáciami s názvom Google Apps Marketplace. Internetový obchod umožňuje prepojenie aplikácií od rôznych vývojárov, teda tretej strany, s tými, ktoré pochádzajúcimi z dielne spoločnosti Google, ako napríklad Google Gmail, Sites, Calendar a iné. „Dnes spúšťame internetový priestor, ktorý umožní používateľom Google aplikácií získať ďalšie, a to od tretej strany vývojárov,“ povedal produkčn! 3; manažér spoločnosti Chris Vander May v interview. „Keď si kúpite nejakú aplikáciu tá sa hneď stane súčasťou vašej domény,“ povedal Vander May. Pre zákazníkov je to možnosť dostať sa obrovskému množstvu nových produktov a pre vývojárov je to príležitosť ako sa dostať do kontaktu s čo najväčším množstvom možných zákazníkov, alebo inými slovami povedané ako zarobiť peniaze. Ako tvrdí Google začať s aplikáciami je nesmierne jednoduché, stačia štyri kliknutia myšou. „Dúfame, že Google Apps Marketplace značne napomôže rozšíreniu našich aplikácii ako aj aplikácií našich partnerov medzi používateľmi,“ povedal Vander Mey. „Partnersk! 3;m spoločnostiach posunieme približne 25 milió! nov pou& #382;ívateľov.“ Google umožňuje vývojárom predávať svoje produkty prostredníctvom Google Apps Marketplace za viac než výhodných podmienok. Ponechávajú si totiž 80 percent príjmov, zatiaľ čo Google sa uspokojil s 20 percentami. Navyše za vstup do programu zaplatia len jednorázový poplatok vo výške 100 dolárov, zatiaľ čo taký Apple si v prípade svojho obchodu s aplikáciami účtuje 100 dolárov ročne. Google svojimi čoraz populárnejšími produktmi dokonca šliape na päty aj počítačovému gigantovi Microsoftu s jeho podnikaní v oblasti softvéru. Microsoft totiž väčšinu príjmov generuje práve z predaja softvéru. Google Apps Marketplace začínal s 50 predajcami, vrátane spoločností ako Altassian, Zoho! , Skytap či NetSuite.
